Academic Posters and Demos CFP

Following the tradition, MoDELS 2007 organizes an Academic Poster and Demo Session, which aims at attracting submissions on presenting exciting new research results or ongoing work in the field of model-driven software and systems engineering. Selected posters and demonstrations of academic tools are expected to generate lively discussions, which provide a unique occasion for authors to introduce their research to a broader audience and get useful feedback from the MoDELS community.

Posters on preliminary results and proposals, or accompanying papers are warmly welcome. Innovative academic demonstrators are highly encouraged even if their maturity has not yet reached the level of a scientific paper ready for publication. This year a special attention is paid to (non-commercial) demonstrators integrating innovative features into off-the-shelf tools following a model-based approach.

Note: Commercial demonstrations are not eligible for this call and should be submitted to the Vendor Exhibition Track.

Submission Guidelines

Authors are requested to submit their Posters and Demos in 2-3 pages, in Postscript or PDF, using the Springer LNCS style (see http://www.springer.de/com/lncs/authors.html for details). Each submission should be as close as possible to the final camera-ready form, including:

  • A concise description of the problem and the idea
  • The results, findings, and description of research
  • The potential impact of the work on the modeling field
  • Recommendations for further investigation
Although full literature searches are not necessary, relevant citations are expected.

Important Dates

Deadline for submission: June 1, 2007
Author notification: June 20, 2007
